Jewellery Care

Our gold plated elegant jewelry have a base layer of copper, silver or stainless steel, which are safe and stable.

Even though gold plated jewelry doesn’t lose color by the contact with water, if you wish to save its original condition for a long time you are advised to limit its exposure to various liquids and clean it shortly after if that happened.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF GOLD-PLATED JEWELRY?

We recommend not to shower, swim, exercising, or anything that involves moisture, sweats with your jewelry on. Avoid spraying perfumes, hair products, oils or creams with your jewelry on. Don’t scratch or rub the piece. Avoid any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. It may damage the layer of gold plating, causing discoloration. Proper care can significantly extend the lifespan of gold plated pieces. To clean, gently buff with a lint-free polishing cloth to keep it looking at its best.

WHY GOLD-PLATED JEWELRY IS TURNING COLOR?

Our pieces are 18K & 24K gold plated with copper, silver or stainless steel, they do not easily turn color. However, all gold plated, gold filled jewelries will naturally turn color with time. Natural wear will eventually oxidize and fade which will require expert maintenance in its lifetime. Also, our body oils can react and cause the color change as well. Please follow our jewelry care suggestions so the color of the jewelry can last longer.

WHAT ABOUT 18k SOILD GOLD JEWELRY?

Solid gold is a precious metal that will not oxidize or discolor. The 18k alloy gives our pieces their beautiful, subtle hue. 18k solid gold is also an active lifestyle's best friend: it scratches less and doesn't bend or wear out as easily as 24k; and has brighter color than 14k.

All of our 18k gold pieces are stamped with “18K” or “Au750”, except for our Thin Dome Ring, Bold Chain Ring and Thin Chain Ring.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF 18k SOILD GOLD JEWELRY?

To maintain the shine of your 18k solid gold piece, wipe it lightly with our soft polishing cloth, or clean using warm water and detergent-free soap then buff gently with a clean cloth.

Store your pieces in a safe, dry place when not worn to protect them from the elements of daily exposure.
